Immediately in September 1952, the construction of the bridge was resumed, and the end of 1953 was set for handover.
The construction works of the great Hrazdan bridge were completed in December 1955. The creation of the architect Grigpr Aghababyan was truly a masterpiece and in those years was considered one of the most impressive bridges in Europe, with a height of more than 60 meters and a length of 335 meters.
In order to check the strength and reliability of the bridge and to prevent the above-mentioned collapse again, trucks loaded with heavy stones were removed from the bridge, engineers measured the bending of the bridge under load.
