He was born in Yerevan. 1975 graduated from the Yerevan Fine Arts Theater Institute. He taught at the
same university since 1973.
In 1955-60, he was the chief artist and art editor of the «Sanprpsvet» central research institute and its publishing house, in 1969-74 he was the chief artist of Yerevan city, in 1972-74 he was the first director of Hakpb Kapjpyan and Ara Sargsyan art museum.
He created in the fields of instrumental and manual painting, poster, caricature, book and manual graphics.
