Sfi Arai Devpyan (July 8, 1949, Yerevan, Armenian National Academy of Arts, Armenian National Academy of Arts, Armenian Academy of Sciences), teacher, teacher, actress, Honored Artist of the Armenian Academy of Sciences (1984).
In 1961-1967, he studied at the classical dance department of the Yerevan Academy of Dance. In the years 1967-1990, a teacher of the State Dance Ensemble of Armenia, a soloist. Since 1986, he has been working at Pari State University as a teacher.
He performed on the stages of different countries of the world: Olympia, Grand Opera, Metropolitan Opera, Carnegie Hall, etc. In 1993, he founded «Spfi Devpyan’s «Hippu and Dance Theater»».
«Samsara» dance of creative director Spifi Devpyan was highly praised at Lpzan International Festival. In 1995, he created a painting where there is no dress, no face, only shoulders and hands.
In that year, the Armenian art and philosophy was produced.
In 1994, he created a training center where many dance groups and children’s ensembles perform.
