Pedro Luca, an Argentinian, demonstrated that an extremely minimalist lifestyle disconnected from modern technology is possible. Having decided one day that he wanted to be close to nature and live like his ancestors, Pedro left his home and settled in a cave in the mountains.

Every day, Pedro goes hunting or gathering food in the forest. He also raises goats and chickens in his cave. According to him, this way of life has its own philosophy. When he’s not hunting, he likes to look up at the sky and ponder the meaning of life. He gets up every day at 5 a.m. to make a fire, the flame of which he believes gives off a unique energy that energizes him for the day.

Pedro feels that the modern world has strayed too far from nature and our ancestors. He thinks that without technology, society will have to return to a more agrarian life.

However, despite some individuals’ desire to deny the conveniences of civilization, the reality is that most people depend on modern technology for medical care, communications, and the purchase of high-tech goods.

There is certainly the possibility of withdrawing from modern society, like Pedro, but this solution is not feasible for society as a whole. Nonetheless, Pedro’s life serves as a reminder that different, less tech-dependent lifestyles are possible, though these choices are not without their own challenges.
